ORDERING OUR BAGELS OUR HISTORY
Do you take bookings?

Unfortunately no, we cater to walk-ins only. Pre-ordering is always encouraged.

Can you accommodate large groups?

Prospect
Our dine-in capacity is around 10 people. For larger groups, we recommend bringing a picnic rug or making use of the benches and tables in Charles Cane Reserve directly opposite us. Bonus if you have dogs or kids — there’s plenty of space to roam, plus a great nature playground!

Norwood
We have a little more room to settle in, with indoor and outdoor seating available. Larger groups are always welcome, but we recommend arriving early or being prepared for a small wait.

Do you take orders in advance?

A great option to cut down on your wait time. Orders can be placed at Prospect via phone (0478 422 435) and at Norwood online.

Do you do catering?

You bet - order online for pick up at Norwood (add our catering box option) or send us a email via this form and tell us about your event for a custom quote.

I’m not feeling like leaving the house today, do you deliver?

We have you covered, delivery is offered via Uber Eats and Doordash.

How are your bagels made?

Our bagels are all handrolled and baked daily at our Norwood store. Come along and see our team in action in our glass-walled bakery space.

What bagel types do you stock?

Each day we have: plain, sesame seed, poppy seed, everything seed or jalapeno cheddar bagels.

Your bagel will be made on a random selection of bagel unless you specify a bagel type.

Fresh bagels are available to take home, alongside tubs of our house made cream cheese flavours.

Do you do gluten free bagels?

Yes we do! Give us a call prior to visiting and we can confirm availability on that day.

Are your bagels vegan?

Yes they are. Ask when ordering to ensure the filling you choose is vegan too.

Can I add things to my bagel?

Absolutely. We all like our bagels made slightly different, so play around with our list of different additions or swaps.

When did Frankly start?

Frankly started with a love of bagels, good coffee and the idea of creating the kind of neighbourhood bagel shop founders Christie Wilkinson and Jack Crichton had experienced while travelling through cities across Europe.

After years working in hospitality, Christie and Jack decided Adelaide was missing out. Fast forward a couple of years, and they found the perfect little spot on Belford Avenue in Prospect. Frankly opened its doors in April 2020.

Wait, wasn’t that in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic?

Yes. Excellent timing.

Restrictions at the time meant Frankly could only operate as takeaway. What was intended to be a small neighbourhood cafe quickly became much busier than expected. The team grew, and Frankly started becoming part of the Prospect community.

Why Prospect?

For Frankly, it’s always been about suburban communities.

The first location was a little off the beaten track on Belford Avenue, directly opposite Charles Cane Reserve. The area was crying out for a meeting spot where locals could grab a bagel and coffee, catch up with a friend, walk the dog or bring the kids.

That idea of creating a place that genuinely feels part of its neighbourhood has stuck with Frankly ever since.here.

Then came Norwood

As Frankly grew, the business needed more room - not only for customers, but for making a lot more bagels.

Norwood became Frankly’s second home and the production heart of the business. The bakery sits right inside the store, where customers can watch the bakers at work through the glass wall as they make each day’s bagels fresh.

Those bagels now make their way from Norwood across Frankly’s stores, takeaway range and catering orders every day.

And now, Kent Town

In 2026, Frankly will open its third location in Kent Town.

This time, the team created a smaller, takeaway-focused version of Frankly, designed around the everyday routines of the neighbourhood - workers grabbing breakfast, locals stopping in, gym-goers refuelling and commuters passing through on their way into the city.

Each Frankly store looks and feels a little different, but the idea behind them hasn’t changed much since Prospect: make great bagels, serve good coffee and create places that feel part of their neighbourhood.
